Lee Falls

Tucked behind the tiny Cherry Grove within the Tualatin River is the gorgeous beauty of Lee Falls. I had no clue such an incredible mini waterfall was so near to my college! It’s perfectly safe to jump off as long as the makeshift dam is still in place. I was able to meet the guy who builds it every spring after the winter rains destroy it. He said that he once saw a girl get hospitalized from gruesome injuries after jumping off the waterfall into only 6 feet of water. So he builds up the dam every year so there is always at least a 12 foot deep pool beneath the falls.
