We were given the remarkable opportunity to explore the Sun Yat-Sen Park and Garden. This is the oldest traditional Chinese Garden in Canada. China actually set over artists trained in creating these gardens to design and build it in the traditional ways.
There were only a couple roses in the garden and this one was begging for a picture.
I loved all of the shapes that were being created around the garden.
This was hand carved. Not glue or adhesives, just the wood interlocking with itself.
Patterns, patterns, patterns.
They had just watered the flowers when we got there.
I loved the bark on this little bonzai tree.
A bowl of flowers atop the Taoist monks’ alter.
This little guy was being fed cheetos and was VERY happy about it.
